Shoots & Stems stocks a large supply of fresh interior foliage plants at all times. We also have a large variety of decorative pots to choose from to meet every client's particular style.

Interior plant designers will visit the site to walk through and assess the space with an account manager. A proposal will then be emailed detailing areas, plants and pot prices, plant maintenance options, installation, and the option to lease or purchase (both of which include a guarantee).

Shoots & Stems Interiorscape Department's goal is to enhance an interior space by providing and maintaining beautiful, healthy plants.

Some of our Interior accounts include:

Interiorscape Installation

For new installations, Shoots & Stems Uganda Limited installation crews prepare plants off site.

The new plants are cleaned, set in the decorative pots and mossed with Fiberex moss, a material that is synthetic and will not deteriorate like Spanish moss.

A systemic granular insecticide is buried in the soil before watering to prevent insects.

On site, the crew installs the plants in a professional manner with the direction of the interior salesperson. The onsite installation area is thoroughly cleaned before crew leaves.

On an existing account requiring a plant cleanup, the plants are brought outside to an out-of-the-way area that is shady.

The installation crew will then:

  • Re-pot the plants if necessary
  • Add systemic insecticide
  • Trim
  • Clean
  • Water
  • Fertilize before re-installation.

Upon installation, maintenance is scheduled for the same day each week, serviced by the same technician.

Shoots & Stems' expertly trained interior maintenance technicians will keep your interior designs looking beautiful and inviting.

Green Oak's interior maintenance technicians are all trained using a combination-training program that includes in-house training and on-site development. Only reputable, honest personnel are hired. Many technicians have been on staff for more than 10 years.

We keep thorough documentation of all replacements, inventory changes, and client requests to ensure that all your needs are met in a timely manner.

Colorscape

Our Colorscape experts use long lasting and low maintenance plants to make the most of our clients' budgets. Clients are treated to seasonal color changes on a regular basis, using a wide assortment of plants that give color and perform in our climate. Estimates are sent out seasonally reminding the client that it will be time to change the color and prices and varieties recommended.

The goal of Colorscape department is provide a 'wow' factor to the landscape using interesting, high performance plants.

Flower Beds

Every color bed design is created with the client's personal style in mind. Many times we associate our outside color choices to the inside color schemes. The amount of sunlight an area receives is measured to help determine the plant choices. An instant pop of color after planting is the goal, while leaving enough room for future growth.

Pot Design

Shoots & Stems' Colorscape designers will choose the perfect mix of pots and plants to make any area stand out.

We stock many beautiful planters of various sizes and colors. We also have numerous sources to order any pot that completes your design.

Plant choices vary with pot sizes, colors, and grouping styles. The surrounding environment colors and client preferences also come into play when plants are selected. Many times, in larger pots, evergreens are used as permanent plants combined with annual or perennial color. Plants are grouped appropriately by their need for sun/shade and water needs.

Colorscape Maintenance

Trained color technicians maintain the installed color pots on an appropriate bi- or tri-weekly schedule.

Plants are watered, groomed and fertilized to keep your design looking bright and healthy. If a plant fails, it is replaced. The color technicians, who have been on staff for more than 6 years, are equipped with tank trucks for easy watering, backpack sprayers, and blowers.
